Scholarship Ceremony & Post-Tensioning Seminar – Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry (2022)

On the morning of October 29, 2022, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry (IUH) hosted a technical seminar on "Design and Construction of Post-Tensioned Systems," along with a signing ceremony for a training and human resource development partnership between the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Phu My Engineering Construction JSC (PMEC).

This collaborative program is part of PMEC’s annual initiatives aimed at promoting a spirit of innovation and learning among students in the field of civil engineering. It also serves to equip future engineers with practical knowledge and industry insights that will support their professional development and career readiness.

The seminar also saw the participation of many faculty members from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, as well as a strong showing from students — with representatives from across all academic years, totaling over 1,000 students. The working session was highly productive, culminating in the official signing of a cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Civil Engineering and PMEC. The agreement outlines key areas of collaboration and a roadmap for future development in training and talent development. During the seminar’s technical session on “Design and Construction of Post-Tensioned Systems”, Mr. Hoang Viet Anh, CEO of PMEC, delivered an engaging presentation and took part in an open discussion with lecturers and students — sharing practical insights, industry experience, and career-oriented advice.

As part of the program, PMEC also awarded five scholarships with a total value of VND 10.000.000 to outstanding students who have demonstrated excellence in academics and personal development, as well as made significant contributions to the Youth Union and student-led activities within the Faculty. The seminar concluded successfully, marking a meaningful milestone in the ongoing collaboration between Phu My Engineering Construction JSC (PMEC) and the Faculty of Civil Engineering – Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the leadership of PMEC and the Faculty for their shared commitment to nurturing high-quality human resources for the construction industry.
