On April 9, 2021, Phu My Engineering Construction JSC (PMEC) had the opportunity to collaborate with the Design and Project Management Consultancy firm AURECON to organize a workshop for structural design and project management engineers. The topic of the workshop was: “Prestressed Structural Design and Construction Quality Control.”

AURECON Vietnam is a member of the global AURECON GROUP – a leading international firm providing engineering consultancy, design, and management services. With over 8,000 employees and 80 offices worldwide, AURECON has been delivering numerous large-scale international projects in Australia, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. Currently, AURECON is serving as the design consultant for one of the most prestigious high-end developments in Vietnam, located in the Ba Son port area and invested by Masterise Group. This project utilizes prestressed slab-beam structural solutions in its structural design. With a spirit of mutual learning and knowledge sharing, AURECON graciously hosted PMEC for a meaningful and insightful workshop held at their office. The discussion and experience-sharing session on prestressed structural design and construction quality control was attended by Mr. Hoang Viet Anh – CEO of PMEC, and Mr. William Ai Nguyen – Structural Design Manager at AURECON Vietnam, along with design and project management engineers from both companies. The two sides exchanged in-depth perspectives on design calculations, including input parameter selection, stress loss estimations, computation ranges, reinforcement and tendon layouts for prestressed slab and beam elements, construction risks and their mitigation strategies, and interdisciplinary coordination. All discussions were centered around improving project cost-efficiency, ensuring quality, and enhancing structural durability. At the conclusion of the workshop, AURECON representatives extended sincere thanks to CEO Hoang Viet Anh and highly praised PHU MY’s expertise and experience in prestressed structural design and construction. Both parties expressed hope for future collaboration on projects where AURECON serves as a design consultant.
